Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name. If you sign in through Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google.
Content you create. We store worksheets you create, including HTML content, images, and audio files. Student answers, grades, and comments are also stored.
Usage data. We collect basic usage information such as pages visited, features used, and credit consumption. We do not use third-party analytics trackers.
Waitlist information. If you join our waitlist, we collect your email address and optionally your subject area and grade level.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the service
- To process your worksheet creation and editing requests through AI models
- To manage your account and credit balance
- To send you service-related communications (invites, account updates)
- To improve the quality of AI-generated worksheets
3. AI Processing
Your worksheet content and editing instructions are sent to third-party AI providers (Google Vertex AI, Google Gemini, DeepSeek) for processing. These providers process data according to their own privacy policies. We do not use your content to train AI models.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:
- AI providers — to process worksheet creation and editing requests
- Hosting providers — to store and serve your data
- As required by law — if legally obligated to disclose information
5. Worksheets and Student Data
When you share a worksheet with students, they can view the worksheet content and submit answers. Student submissions are visible only to the teacher who created the worksheet. Public worksheet links are accessible to anyone with the link.
6. Data Retention
Your account data and worksheets are retained as long as your account is active. You can delete individual worksheets at any time. If you wish to delete your account entirely, contact us at the address below.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
8. Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
9. Children's Privacy
MakeLesson is intended for use by teachers. Students access worksheets through links shared by their teachers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without teacher or parental involvement.
